AREA  61 Photography
One day my husband brought home a Nikon D50 camera. I have really never taken photos before and I must say that this camera looked pretty intimidating compared to the little Nikon Coolpix that I would use. So I challenged myself, I grabbed the huge camera bag with the D50 in it and decided to go on a hike and take random pictures. I told myself just to point and shoot at anything and everything I thought looked cool. Before I knew it I had taken over 100 pictures…Since then I have upgraded to a Nikon D90 with a new additional ultra wide angle lens, it was love at first “click”.

The photos I take are just things that I find beautiful, having the camera in hand gives me the ability capture the things that people just walk by and not taking a moment to stop and appreciate the beauty of all the things around them. It brings me peace in a strange way, I find it relaxing and yet exciting that I can share my photos with others. My inspirations come from my husband, my family and friend’s. They truly bring out the best of my creative side.  With out their support and encouragement I would have never created this website.

I am not a professional photographer. I have taken a photography class, everything else has been self taught by researching on the internet, and some help with friends with photography experience along with lots of trial and error. I enjoy playing with lighting effects and looking forward to working the D90 to the max!  I am excited to see what Mother Nature will bring, what little “thingys” I will come across next… but most of all the adventures that will take me to what I call those “photo moments”.

I appreciate you taking the time at looking at my photo’s and I hope you have enjoyed them as much as I have capturing them.  Thank you for stopping by!
